Cyclone Mocha has hit the coastal areas along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border on 14 May, 2023 at around 15:00 hrs, bringing heavy rainfall, strong winds, and causing landslides in some areas. The cyclone intensified into the equivalent of a category-five storm before hitting the coastlines.
