Since the onset of the 2017 Rohingya influx, Saikat Mojumder has had the privilege of documenting the resilience of refugees in Cox’s Bazar, capturing some of the most impactful moments involving governments and the United Nations. While he witnessed many high-level missions, the opportunity to document the visit of the UN Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, to Bangladesh and the Rohingya camps was a truly special moment. This historic visit took place during a meaningful Iftar event, where 100,000 Rohingya refugees gathered, thanks to the collaboration with Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus and the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh.
